Why was my card authorized for more than the promotional price?

When you sign up for a SnackCrate subscription with a promotional offer (like $5 or $10 for your first box), we place a temporary authorization on your card for the full monthly rate (e.g., $36.99). Don’t worry—you’re only charged the promotional price! This is just to verify that your card can support the regular subscription price when it renews. The temporary hold will drop off automatically once the authorization is complete.
